We want to ensure that every pupil is supported with their education and are empowered to
discover their joy in learning. We will achieve this by following the Assess, Plan, Do,
Review cycle to ensure children achieve EHCP outcomes:
ASSESS
- Review individual EHCP
- Meet children and start to build trust
- Welcome parents and carers, ensuring consistent lines of communication
PLAN
- Make a personalised plan with realistic objectives - bespoke to the child's strengths
and needs, and taking passionate interests into consideration.
- Establish whether 1:1 teaching or paired learning is more appropriate (recognising the
importance of practicing social skills in a fully supported environment)
- Child-centered approach with the right resources, adapted to need.
DO
- Ensure children are familiar with their key workers and integrate them in their own time
- Follow the plan, replicating the 'best parts of the classroom' by removing barriers to
learning
- Create a nurturing, emotionally safe environment that enhances engagement and motivates
children to learn.
REVIEW
- Track Progress
- Adapt individual plans
- Ongoing communication and regular feedback to parents / carers and schools.
